Every business must have some level of property/casualty/liability insurance. Lenders require this coverage for your practice as a condition of loaning you money; and some landlords also require proof of insurance. A typical business insurance policy includes several types of coverage.

  • Property/casualty insurance. This coverage protects you against losses to your building and business assets due to a variety of causes. Examples include fire/lightning, windstorm, hail, explosion, riot, aircraft, vehicle, smoke damage. Look for a comprehensive policy by comparing multiple policies.
