The 6 Interview Questions You'll Probably Be Asked

Hiring questions for chiropractic interview

4 minutes

Your hard work creating a great cover letter and impressive resume have paid off: You have an interview! A little preparation will help you conquer your nerves and let your best self shine through. While every interview is different, there are a handful of questions that will likely come up at some point during the process. Here are six questions you can expect to receive — and what the person on the other side of the table is expecting to hear.

Question: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Answer: Think of this as a two-minute speech about your background, including your education and why you chose the chiropractic profession. Keep it brief; this is an introduction to the rest of the interview. Also, keep it relevant. There are a lot of directions you could go with “tell us about yourself” — but they’re looking for information that will help them decide to hire you.

Question: Why do you want to work with us?

Answer: This is where your research into the practice will pay off. If you've done your homework and reviewed the practice’s website and social media, you’ll know what drew you into this particular practice. Do they specialize in an area you’re interested in? Do you like how they treat patients? Have an interest in their modalities? Or maybe you have a personal connection. Whatever the reasons may be, this is where you can show your interviewer that you know their practice and have concrete reasons that would make you a good fit. Tip that you probably already know: “Because I need a job” may be true, but it’s not an answer they’re going to be impressed with. Resist the urge to respond with a similar answer, even if you’re kidding.
