Avoiding Bad Check Problems

The patient pays with a check and the bank says it cannot pay on the check. Now what do you do? How can you prevent it from happening in the future?

Your best solution to avoid bad check problems is to work is to prevent them from happening the first place. You can do this by implementing a policy for accepting checks from patients. Consider including the following in your policy:

  • Require that checks be signed in front of the office manager or CA/CT.​​
