The more you know before you start your practice, the better. You can’t be too prepared! The following 5 reminders can help you avoid headaches down the road.

Tips to consider before you begin your business.​

  1. Start by evaluating your personal strengths and weaknesses. This will help you know when to take the ball and when to hand it off to someone else. It will also help you plan the beginning years as you make the tough decision of whether to associate with someone, buy an existing practice or start your own practice.
  2. Start slowly. If you’re really not sure which option is best for you, consider working in a practice for a year. This will allow you time to ask questions and learn.
  3. Ask for advice. Many others are willing to share their experiences and expertise with you. Some suggestions:
