Checklist for Moving Your Practice

You’ve done your research, picked a place and notified your landlord. But if you’re planning on moving, that’s only the beginning of your miles-long to-do list. Moving can be a large undertaking, but being physically and mentally organized will help alleviate some of the stress and chaos. If you’re thinking about a location change, here are some things to add to your checklist.

Take Inventory

Having a good handle on what will need to be moved will help you be better prepared to pack and to order the correct size moving van or moving crew. And once you actually get moved, it will allow you to double check to make sure everything made it over from the old office. Things to include:

  • Office furniture
  • Equipment, including tables and X-ray machines
  • Electronics such as computers, printers, TVs
  • Décor, including artwork
  • Files and paperwork
  • Any products you sell
